Sangoma is looking for a talented, self-motivated VoIP Sales Engineers to join our fast paced, ever growing organization.  As a member of Sangoma's Solutions Engineering Team, you will be responsible for the Pre-Sales activities, working with Sales and customers on Proof of Concepts, Project Planning, Network Design, Product Evaluations, RFI Responses, and Support troubleshooting of Sangoma's Vega gateways, PBXs and Session border controllers. 

By working in a small fast moving company like Sangoma, you will be working with the Sales Team and R&D to address all Pre-Sales projects and participate in Site Visits, Trade Shows, Training, and troubleshooting and support. Working in a fast paced growing company requires that candidates be self starters, fast learners with excellent critical thinking and reasoning abilities

Being able to speak English and Italian (or other languages) is beneficial.

Job Responsibilities & Skills

  • Planning & implementation of Sales Engineering;
    • Work with Sales Team to identify business opportunities
    • Provide Technical Engineering and Architecture to business partners
  • Product Demonstrations
    • Development and delivery of product demonstrations
    • Provide Webinar and Leader Lead presentations demonstrating Sangoma products
    • Provide regular status reports of feedback of customers to management
  • Product Training
    • Development and delivery of product training
    • Provide Webinar and Leader Lead presentations for product training
  • Sales/RFI/RFP Documentation

    • Provide functional and technical elements into RFIs/RFPs

    • Provide Sangoma Product specification and information.

    • Work with Sales opportunities as technical representative

  • Conferences. Seminars, Webinars, and other field events
    • Travel to various Conferences, Seminars, and other field events in your region as a Sangoma Technical Sales representative
    • Provide Presentations and demonstrations
    • Represent Sangoma at Trade Show events
    • Report to Sales of all Sales Leads

    • In-depth knowledge of SIP Protocol – VoIP Telecommunications, IP Telephony Architectures and  SIP Security
    • In-depth knowledge of computers, networking (Voice and Data), LAN/WAN data networking architectures, routing protocols and Data Security
    • In-depth knowledge of Asterisk, FreePBX and PBXact environments
    • Working knowledge of Linux and associated repositories
    • Working knowledge of traditional telecommunication technologies, such as T1/E1, PRI, ISDN, SS7, Analog FXS/FXO and others  
    • Proven advanced troubleshooting skills on telephony, data, computers and their  applications
    • Ability to handle demanding customers, serious technical problems or product issues resulting in stressful situations
    • Ability to interface tactfully and effectively with external customers at various technical and management levels Must be a self-starter, possess excellent organization skills, and the ability to multi-task
